Town's artistic heritage marked with plaque trail
A trail of plaques celebrating "creative legends" who have links to a North Yorkshire market town has been unveiled.
The 13 plaques celebrate figures ranging from composers and painters to fishermen and cobblers, including artist JMW Turner and film director Ken Loach.
Josie Beszant, from Masham Art Gallery, who created the trail, said while some of the plaques remembered "serious artists", others celebrated "local legends".

Teen pageant queen creates cancer care packages
When Bella, 13, from York, was seven years old her mum, Tracie, was told she had breast cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy for six months.
Turning her own experience into something positive, Bella, who is also a pageant queen, said she wanted to help those going through a similar experience, with the care packages containing gifts from her and her siblings.
